Here is my first listing with the corresponding original text.
Please ckeck the listing. If you succeeded in finding out an original name, please write me, using my reference number # …... . You can also offer me varieties of possible solutions to check them with my data file.
If the present English text is entirely wrong, please inform me as well. I’m not interested in any details, such as salaries. By the way, very often the Nationality is not correct as at the beginning many a person sought protection at established legations.
The main source data of my data file result from the Japan Directories and it is possible, that not all persons have been listed in these Directories; e. g. in case of a too short stay or for any other reason.
If I have included names, these names have no counterpart in my data file!

Nationality - British Employer and Employed Period - Tokyo-fu from 22.10.1873 for three years Occupation - Instructor in Sewing
Possible Readings Without Corresponding Name in Data File ASPINALL-WARD ASPHINALL BOD
Remark: I have a William Gregson ASPINALL in my data file, who came to Japan in 1861 and he settled as “Tea Inspector and Commission Agent”. Later he commenced business with F. Cornes, forming Aspinall, Cornes & Co. This partnership lasted until 1873. In 1876 he appeared as Bill Broker and Commission Agent. And in the Unesco book “208-1” was employed from 1873 - 1876. All suits, but "given name", "ward" and "profession" don`t really suit together.
